Awesome! Thank you sooooooo much parents for lighting the fires under your kiddos. I received a TON of reading tub work today! The best part...it wasn't slop that was just done in a rush! It was also high quality work! I am so very proud of these kiddos! I will finish grading what was turned in today and update the gradebook. You can check online how your child's status is. Those that may need more than the 30 minutes tomorrow might want to come knock on the classroom window tomorrow instead of walking the circle to get a few more minutes to knock them out. Again, I am proud of all the hard work and support! You make my job that much more easier!
Homework tonight is to read Selection 3 in the leveled book. This book is designed to be on your child's reading level. They will all learn the same skills, but using text that is on their level. Please feel free to sit with them and listen to them read, read to them, or a mixture of both. Having discussions with parents always makes it more meaningful and easier to remember for a quiz (hint, hint). :0)
Spelling test tomorrow, along with having library class. Please remember those books to turn in.
In math today, we talked about regular vs. irregular polygons. Ask your kiddo to tell you the difference. If they can write POLYGON in the planner for $10 tomorrow. They should say...regular polygons have every side the same length. Irregular ones have different lengths of sides. Even if only one side is different, it is irregular.
I leave you with some fun pictures of our good friend Espen. He was star of the week last week, but is just now sharing. :0) Who knew he was into table tennis, soft air guns, and the military??? He is also beginning to play football so got one for his birthday! This kid just never ceases to amaze me! We are going to miss him terribly when he leaves for the year in April. He and his family study abroad for the 4th quarter each year in Norway. Very, very cool for him...very, very sad for us!
Have a great, great night. It is gorgeous out there!!!
Mrs. Grewell
