Donuts on Friday for Moms!!!

Hi!

Testing resumes tomorrow morning. We will begin at 9 after we settle in, have a pep talk, and find out how we are all feeling at Fly Time. I BELIEVE all kids are going to do great things!!!!

I leave at noon tomorrow. I will be back on Monday.

I will text you your child's test scores this weekend.

There is no homework tonight, except to play in the snow! (What the heck Montana!)

I will not blog tomorrow, but will on Sunday.

Memories with mom is this Friday. Come with your kiddo on Friday before school for a donut and coffee/juice. Fun times...sorry to miss this one :0(

Check out our lessons we did in math today. When will I ever use symmetry??? When making a very cool native design (especially used on quilts).

We also continued on with our Area and Perimeter animals. After following directions today, kids were able to design a squirrel to add to their dog they did yesterday. If they brought it home, ask them to show you how to find area and perimeter. Gotta love when math equals fun!

It was TAX Day in America today, and in Mrs. Grewell's class. So, sadly the kids got an evil lesson from the government. Kids had to count up their money and then multiply it by 30% to give to the government. It was quite the discussion about how today is not a good day to be rich! They kept saying....but why??? Why does the government need our money??? We went all the way back to the Revolutionary War for this one. :0) Ask your kiddo how much they ended up paying. It ranged from $10 to over $300 depending on how much they had in their wallet. If they can tell you, write the word TAX in the planner for $10 tomorrow.

Gabrielle also shared that not only is it Tax Day, but it is also Jackie Robinson Day for the major leagues. All teams should be wearing their uniforms displaying the number 42 on the back. She did it as well in honor of her brother who plays for the Pittsburgh Pirates! Pretty Cool!

Carl finished the day by doing his star of the week stuff. He loves to build with hammers, play laser tag and minecraft, and collect chicken feathers. What an amazing kid! Thanks for sharing with us Carl!

Have a FANTASTIC weekend. I will think of all of you while looking at the mountain tops while soaking in a hot spring! :0)
