Field Trip Tomorrow!

Happy Earth Day!!!!

After testing, we took some time to learn all about our wonderful planet Earth! Kids made Earth Round Snacks that divided it up into land/water/unlivable/livable. Have kids explain the picture below to you. Then, they had to use their round to answer some fractional and percent questions. Finally...they ate the EARTH!!! Crazy kids!

The Plenty Coup field trip is tomorrow.

1. Lunch with a drink (soda is fine) (we do not have a cooler to store them in so use icepacks please)
2. Tennis Shoes and socks.
3. Electronics if want them for the bus. (They will stay in backpack with lunch on bus while we are out touring)
4. Layered clothing and a hat (It is TICK season!!!)
5. Sunscreen-Please apply AT HOME.
6. A positive attitude.

Please talk to your kiddos tonight about number 6. We were invited by another class. I told the students that it will be very rude if it is our class and their class separate. This is a wonderful time to use all the Fly Time skills they have learned all year about making new friends. Introducing themselves, sitting with them on the bus and at lunch, asking them questions to learn more about each other, etc. If you have this discussion, please write FRIEND in the planner for $50.

A BIG thank you to Reece and Espen for spoiling me today! Epsen gifted me with a Barnes and Noble gift card (which I am dying to use tonight for the second book in the series I am reading..perfect timing kiddo!!), a gift card for Spinners (again perfect timing as we will be heading that way soon!), and a fun magnet that says teachers are a special gift to the world. So sweet buddy. I sure am going to miss you when you leave next week. :0( Thanks Espen! Check out this fun little Super Hero Teacher that Reece gave me this morning! Adorable!!! I sure do feel like a super hero with kids that are awesome around me all day! Thank you Reece!

I leave you with some pictures from yesterday's math project with the geometrical shapes. FUN!

Have a great night, and we will see you tomorrow. (Still in need of a chaperone if you are not doing anything. Please text me tonight if you can come 8:30-2:30ish). Thanks.

Mrs. Grewell
